The Congress has released its manifesto promising 5 ‘Nyays’ to Indians. It has recognized the broken dreams of the youth, women, farmers, labourers and marginalized sections. The Party has put together a set of revolutionary ideas that will bring justice and dignity to these sections and give wings to their dreams.

The manifesto is a combination of some long-pending promises – the settlement of FRA claims, loan-waivers for farmers and raising the daily wages of MGNREGA. And some revolutionary ideas that will transform India – apprenticeship program for the youth graduates, cash transfer to women, legal guarantees for MSP and women and the caste census.

These ideas are not just about welfare, upliftment and empowerment of those who have been crushed by the Modi Government. These ideas represent a vision for India that is enshrined in our Constitution. In the Congress vision for India, our Country does not belong to Adani, Ambani or the few wealthy ones of this Country but to the toiling masses of the land. In this vision of India, the priorities of a government are: not the sowing of division and hate or the facilitation of the capture of India but to ensure that we spread harmony, hope and opportunity.

Along with providing the Country with many ideas to empower our people, the Congress Manifesto also acts as a shining example of the vision Congress and the Constitution have for this Country. A vision that after 10 years of brutal oppression and exploitation the people of India may no longer remember. It is therefore the job of every worker to ensure that the Manifesto, the 5 ‘Nyays’ and the vision that underlies them, reach every home in the Country.

This is the final battle between two ideas of India, one that we must not and will not lose.
