Spokesperson: Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvisaid that it is clear that the four ‘Cs’ of Telangana KCR, his party, his family, the four ‘Cs’ for which they are famous- Cheating, Callousness, Corruption and Commission- it has now deflated all the four wheels of KCR’s car and judgement day is catching up with his party. The four-crore people of Telangana have scared this party, have scared its leaders, which is why, they are indulging in patent falsehoods, distortion of a gross kind, flagrant and egregious violations of the Model Code of Conduct. One gross example of which I am about to give you. KCR stands not only for ‘Kaleshwaram Corruption Ridden’ but stands for every possible scam, which you can think of and here they have the gall, the cheek to issue soft and other forms of advertisements like this (showing a copy of an advertisement)- calling it ‘SCAMGRESS’. I will have in texts, which are completely unverified and distorted allegations.

Now, the various points and the facets, which this issue raises, are the following: 1. This is, as we all know, a clear violation of the Model Code of Conduct, bang in the middle of the elections under the nose of a constitutional body called the Election Commission. 2. All such ads need prior approval. There are many circulars, the most important is 24th August, 2023 of the Election Commission. 3. There are several ads, where the party in Telangana KCR or their party has taken actually such approvals. For example, we have these approvals (again showing a document) something called KCR Bharosa, then we have other approvals on these dates given here, six- seven dates are there. Admittedly, this advertisement does not have any approval, none! 4. The Model Code of Conduct, the language is very crystal clear, I am not going to quote in detail, but, criticism of other political parties has to be based on past record, on work, unverified allegations or distortions shall be avoided. Now, it says the same thing, ‘or other parties and their workers shall not be criticized’. Clearly, this violates, which is why, they know they had to seek approval; they know their approval will not be granted, so they never applied. 5. It shows clearly a complete fear, a complete chaos and running helter and skelter because certain defeat is staring them in the face, is writ-large on every wall in every four directions, as far as that party (BRS) is concerned. 6. Separately, it has several violations of the Indian Penal Code apart from the Model Code of Conduct. I am not talking of the law, the electorate will take care of it, but this must be emphasized that right in the middle of the hot period, they are doing this.

So, friends, I would end by saying that this is clearly a sign of absolute surrender, of absolute defeat, of absolute disheartenment and of completely dejected and disappointed party. This is a sign that with their partnership with the BJP, they see only one nemesis, the Congress, which is coming on judgment day shortly, to throw them out of the seat they occupy in Telangana, which has become a seat of loot.

We hope and trust that the Election Commission will show the same even-handedness and will show the same level-playing field characteristics, when they take immediate, prompt and penal action against this party (BRS) in Telangana, which brooks not a day’s delay. The matter is crystal clear, there is an advertisement before elections and no approval has been taken. Tuesday, November 21, 2023
